'Christmas in the City' Design for Newcastle City Council. My design promoted a series of free activities for anyone to participate in and as a ways of driving more foot traffic into Newcastle City Centre.
A Christmas Tree Maze was set up for children to run and get lost inside at the iconic Civic Park and instant photographic prints taken for free with your family, friends and pets were available in a unique Newcastle style christmas setting.
I created a Newcastle style Christmas setting made of a printed backdrop screen of a lifesize Volkswagen Kombi Van propped onto the sand on the famous Nobby's Beach. A 'socially distanced' Santa Claus was comped into the driver's seat. Various extra props set the scene, all to give the illusion that you were actually sitting in a real van on Nobby's beach. Family and friends and even a few pets came along to get a great Newy style shot that was a take home keepsake and could be posted on Instagram. #newychristmas. Lot's of setup efforts and co-ordination credits to the amazing Enigma PR team.
Two popup locations – empty store fronts in both Darby and Hunter Streets were dressed to host the Newy Christmas Photos.
